1.The short version

24KaratSolutions builds offline-first software for jewellers. Your shop's books stay on your own device. We collect only what we need to sign you in, run your subscription and support you.

  • Your billing, inventory, girvi, ledger and customer records are stored on your computer or phone — not on our servers.
  • We hold your name, email and shop profile so we can create your account and licence.
  • Payments go through Razorpay. We never see your card, UPI or bank credentials.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

This policy explains it properly, and applies to the desktop app, the Android app and this website.

2.Data that stays on your device

The Software is designed to work without the internet. Everything you enter day to day is written to a local database on the machine you installed it on:

  • invoices, sales, purchases, udhaar and payment entries;
  • inventory, lots, metal and stock movements;
  • girvi (pledge) records and interest calculations;
  • ledgers, journals, GST workings and reports;
  • customer, supplier and karigar contact details you add.

We cannot read this data, and it is never uploaded to us automatically. Backups you create are also written to a location you choose. If you enable an optional online or LAN mode, the data that feature transmits goes only to the server you configure.

3.Information we do collect

Account information

  • your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account when you sign in;
  • your mobile number, if you provide one.

Shop profile

  • business name, address, state, GSTIN and business type entered during onboarding.

Subscription and licence

  • plan purchased, start and end dates, trial status, coupon or referral code used;
  • payment records — amount, date, Razorpay order and payment identifiers, and payment status;
  • a device identifier and the licence token issued to your installation, so a licence can be validated offline and revoked if misused.

Diagnostic and usage information

  • app version, operating system and basic device model;
  • crash and error reports, and timestamps of licence checks and sign-ins.

Things you send us

  • support tickets, feedback and any attachments or screenshots you choose to include;
  • enquiry forms on this website (name, email, phone, shop name, message).

We do not ask for and do not want your customers' personal data. If you attach a report or backup to a support ticket, that file may contain it — please share only what is needed.

4.How we use this information

  • to create and secure your account and sign you in;
  • to issue, renew, validate and revoke your licence;
  • to process payments, send receipts and handle refunds;
  • to provide support and answer your questions;
  • to send service messages — renewal reminders, expiry warnings, security and update notices;
  • to detect misuse, fraud and licence sharing;
  • to fix bugs and improve the product;
  • to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent (sign-in, marketing messages), on performing our contract with you (licensing, payments, support) and on our legitimate interest in keeping the product secure. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time; service messages about your licence will still be sent while your account exists.

5.Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share limited information with the service providers that make the product work:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, account and subscription records, and cloud functions;
  • Razorpay — payment processing (you deal with them directly for card and UPI details);
  • Google Cloud Storage — hosting of installers and updates;
  • email delivery providers — receipts, support replies and service notices;
  • Meta / WhatsApp Business — only if you enable WhatsApp messaging from the app, and only for the messages you choose to send;
  • Google Play — if you install the Android app from the store.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, safety or property. If the business is ever sold or restructured, account data may transfer to the new owner under the same commitments.

6.App permissions

The Android app asks only for permissions it needs, and each is used for a single purpose:

  • Internet / network state — sign-in, licence checks, payments and updates;
  • Storage or file access — saving backups, invoices and exported PDFs where you choose;
  • Camera — only if you scan a barcode or attach a photo;
  • Notifications — renewal reminders and reminders you set inside the app.

You can revoke any permission in your phone's settings; the related feature will simply stop working.

7.How long we keep it

Account, licence and subscription records are kept while your account exists and for as long afterwards as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes (typically up to 8 years for payment records under Indian law). Support conversations are kept for up to 3 years. Diagnostic logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Your on-device business data is deleted whenever you delete it or uninstall the app — it is not ours to keep.

8.How we protect it

  • traffic between the apps and our services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS);
  • licence tokens are cryptographically signed and stored encrypted by your operating system's secure storage;
  • access to production systems is restricted to people who need it;
  • payment credentials never touch our systems.

No system is perfectly secure. Protect your device, keep your Google account and owner password private, and take regular backups.

9.Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law you can ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct or complete anything inaccurate;
  • delete your account data, subject to records we must legally retain;
  • withdraw consent, or stop marketing messages;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to privacy@24ksolutions.in from your registered email address and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account does not delete the data on your own device, and does not refund an active subscription.

10.Children

The Software is a business tool and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child's data has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.

11.This website

The website uses only the storage it needs to remember your language preference and similar settings. We do not run advertising trackers. Contact-form submissions are delivered to our inbox through a form-delivery provider and are used only to reply to you.

Pages may link to third-party sites (app stores, payment pages, social media). Their privacy practices are their own.

12.Where your data is processed

Our cloud services are hosted with Google in the Mumbai (India) region wherever the service supports it. Some providers may process limited data outside India; where that happens we rely on their contractual safeguards.

13.Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be notified in the app or by email.

14.Contact and grievances
